Royal Cremation Ceremony

The Royal Thai Government has scheduled the Royal Cremation Ceremony for His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, who passed away on 13 October last year, to be held on 25-29 October 2017, at Sanam Luang Ceremonial Ground in Bangkok.

The Joint Administration Center for the Royal Cremation of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej on 17 October 2017 organized a press briefing on preparations for the ceremony to place Nine-Tiered Great White Umbrella of State (Nopphapadon Maha Sawetta Chat) at the top of the Royal Crematorium (PhraMerumas).

During the Royal Cremation Ceremony, people will be able to offer sandalwood flowers at 105 offering points, which have been installed throughout Bangkok so that the public may express their mourning for the passing of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej.

On 23 October 2017, at the Main Press Center for the Royal Cremation of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, the Joint Administration Center for the Royal Cremation of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej has organized a press briefing on the Overall Final Rehearsal for the Procession of Honor for the Royal Cremation Ceremony on 26 October 2017, as well as practical guidelines for persons attending the ceremony.
