Full Dress Rehearsal for the Procession of Honor in the Royal Cremation Ceremony

The full-dress rehearsal for the procession of honor for the Royal Cremation of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej will be held on Saturday, 21 October 2017. 
 
Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn will join the full-dress rehearsal, with thousands of soldiers and officials attending this event. A total of 13 routes will be closed to traffic, starting from 10:00 p.m. on 20 October until the rehearsal is completed.
 
In the Royal Cremation Ceremony for the royal remains of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, the procession of honor covers three days, on 26, 27, and 29 October. It has been arranged into six processions, with the involvement of more than 5,000 personnel clad in colorful traditional uniforms.
 
On the Royal Cremation Day, 26 October 2017, at 7:00 a.m., three processions will be arranged. The first procession will transfer the Royal Urn from Dusit Maha Prasat Throne Hall to the Great Victory Chariot in front of Wat Phra Chetuphon.
 
The second procession will transfer the Royal Urn upon the Great Victory Chariot from in front of Wat Phra Chetuphon to the Royal Crematorium at Sanam Luang.
 
The third procession will transfer the Royal Urn upon the Royal Gun-carriage, circumambulating three rounds counter-clockwise around the Royal Crematorium, before taking the Royal Urn up into the Royal Crematorium.
 
On 27 October 2017, at 8:00 a.m., the fourth procession will be arranged to transfer the Royal Relics and the Royal Ashes to the Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha.
 
The fifth procession will take place on 29 October 2017 at 10:30 a.m. to transfer the Royal Relics from Dusit Maha Prasat Throne Hall to Chakri Maha Prasat Throne Hall.
 
The sixth procession will be arranged at 5:30 p.m. on the same day to transfer the Royal Ashes from Phra Si Rattana Chedi in the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, on a royal car, to be enshrined at Wat Ratchabophit and Wat Bovoranives.
