26 October 2017

His Royal Highness Prince Dipangkorn Rasmijoti has participated as a volunteer during the Royal Cremation Ceremony for His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Special Volunteers for Dad) by wearing the volunteer uniform, a black T-shirt with a blue cap and a yellow scarf. After paying his respects at the King Chulalongkorn monument, he went to the City Pillar Shrine, Lak Muang, and presented food and drinks to the Thai people who were waiting along the streets around Sanam Luang ceremonial ground.

The Special Volunteers for Dad is a project under the initiative of His Majesty Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun, which invites Thai people to be volunteers during the Royal Cremation Ceremony. Volunteers may work according to their skills and interests, such as the making of sandalwood cremation flowers, or helping with public relations, construction, transportation, public services, medical services, security, and traffic coordination, and they may select one job for the period.
