The Process of Applying for Special Press Card

1. Qualifications: Correspondents and photographers who have a PRD press card are eligible to apply for the card.

2. Registration may be done by one of two processes:

        2.1. Online registration

                    2.1.1 Agencies should apply for their correspondents by sending a letter, attention to “PRD Director-General,” which includes a list of correspondents and their positions. Alternatively, agencies may scan the letter and send it to PRD at the email address “prforeign@gmail.com.”

                    2.1.2 PRD will send a password to the agencies for downloading the accreditation forms for each correspondent.

                    2.1.3 The following attached documents are requested with the completed accreditation form, as well:

- Photograph, which must be taken straight on, in a polite suit, no smiling, and must be in front of a plain white or blue background;

                           - A photocopy of passport;

                           - A photocopy of PRD press card.

        2.2. Applying at PRD Headquarters

                    2.2.1 Download the application form from https://goo.gl/Jci1tS

                    2.2.2 Fill in the application form for the special press card, with the signed approval of the head of the agency.

                    2.2.3 Give the application with the following documents to the Foreign Office, on the 7th floor of PRD Headquarters, on Soi Aree Samphan, Phayathai district, tel. 02-618-2323 ext. 1715:

                                - A photocopy of passport;

                                - A photocopy of PRD press card;

                                - Letter from correspondent’s agency.

3. PRD will process all applications and inform agencies on when to pick up the special press card at the Center for the Royal Cremation Ceremony of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, at PRD Headquarters.
